"Death in Vennis" and "Summertime"

Thank you for reading my narrative English Blog every time! This page will be last one, I think. Through a year, writing pages in English sometimes makes me irritated, and sometimes makes me feel I have achieved the big things. Anyway, for the situation that forces me to write in English suites my learning languages, because I am a kind of lazy person.
By the way I have aｎapologize for you, my reader. I wrote in this page, that I was going to see the German movie, "Die Wolk", but to tell the truth, I haven't seen yet.So I can't write about the movie, and how I think of it. I am sorry if you, readers expect it, but I am sure that I will see it after I finish the final essay on" Annunciation". As you know I love cinema, in this last blog, I would like to write about movies I want to see in this vacation.As I wrote the last blog, I am going to travel around Italy. To enjoy the trip fully, I decided to see many movies which location is Italy. I have already seen the famous movie, "Sunflower". This story is a love story, which love is separated by the World War Two. In the story, a woman sees the man off, who goes to Russia to join Army, at the station of Mirano. I will go to Mirano, too, so I am very looking forward to seeing it. I have already seen "Sunflower", but I have more movies which I haven't seen , for example," Roman Holiday","Death in Venice", "Summertime", "Under the Tuscan sea". I want to enjoy the trip, not only by the location, but also by the viewpoint of historical fact.To fulfill History of Italy, The Roman Empire is necessary!! So I also want to see the movie like, "the Assassination of Julius Caesar", and some TV program about the Empire.

Comparison between "Death in Vennis" and" Summertime"

"Death in Venice" is the movie I wanted to see best. It is based on the novel Death in Venice, written by German Author, Thomas Mann. I will also read the novel. The difference between the movie and the novel is the main character's Job. The former is a music composer, the latter is a novelist. The story is very interesting to me.The story: The main Character, Gustav von Aschenbach goes to Venis to take vacation. While he travels to the hotel, he meets an elderly man, whose looking is strange with makeup on his face, his hair dyed black by the powder, and a vivid flower on his wear. The main character thinks him awful, and he passes by him. When He reached the hotel, He finds a beautiful boy, Tadzio who stays the same hotel. Gustav's eyes look for him and are stuck on him. He notices that he fells in love with the boy, although the boy is too much young, and has same sexuality. He goes to a barber, and finds himself get older in the mirror. The barber says to him, "I can make you looks younger". His appearance is arranged by the barber, and the appearance is the same as the elder man he saw on the way to the hotel, with his face make-up...... this scene tells us that Loving a person seems awful to strangers sometimes.......... Suddenly the situation of vaennis becomes strange. The Vennis is polluted by the Colela. A lot of people among the boy get out of vennis, but Gusrav gets Colela, and dies in Vennis thinking of the boy.When I heard the story, I felt sympathy with the main character, and wanted to see it as soon as possible. Love seems strange to other person, and also makes person get out of sociality. In contrast, the movie "Summertime" which I write about the story next is different. " Summertime"is a story of a married American woman to go to Italy alone to take a vacation. There, she fells in love with a native man though she is married. She wants to stay longer there with him, but she finish the vacation, and goes back to America. I think the difference between the story of "Death in Vennis" and that of " Summertime" is whether the person stays in love or escapes from love. The former stays in love to be died, but the latter decides to escape from love to keep her sociality. Both the stories' similarity is that tell us loving person is sometimes dangerous. Also, Needless to say, both locations are ITALY!

Spring Vacation

It is January 21st, and half of my assignments and tests have been finished in this term. I am now preparing for tests of philosophy class and reading “annunciation” for the final essay. So The half of hardest days has passed, and I think about spring long vacation after the test weeks. I am going to get free two months, I wonder what I am going to be able to for this two months. I am going to spend a lot of time with little money, because I will go to Italy with my friend for sightseeing. I decided to go to Italy this winter, because the airplane ticket costs cheapest in whole year.
Traveling abroad needs much money even the tour is for students. I choose one of cheapest tours for Italy for students, but it needs about 120000.To earn this money I worked hard in the juku school in winter vacation, and in Italian restaurant as a waitress. However, I noticed that I need more money. We have to pay Tax for governments when we go abroad in airplane. What a bad fact it is. Going to European country needs much money, and moreover we have to pay tax!!! I am disappointed at it. Considering money for meals and souvenir, I can’t imagine how much money I need. So I need to work as a part time jobber again, but I don’t want to spend so much time working, because I need time for studying English, reading many books, and playing futsal, and eating restaurant with my friend. Though I don’t work hard like before, with no money I can’t travel aboard. I am annoyed this dilemma between trips and study.
One of my aims while I am university student is traveling abroad as many times as I can, because I am interested in many historical places like world heritage, and touching different cultures gives me special experiences which I seldom get in Japan. Also, students have more times to go abroad than office worker. Office worker gets only short vacation in Japan, for example. New Year vacation (December 30thto January 5th.), and Summer BON vacation (August 12th to August). Don’t forget the fact among such days the cost performance of traveling costs highest!! So it can be said that I can’t get to go abroad after I graduate university.
Last summer, I went to London for sightseeing. It was my first trip to go abroad, my father gives me the trip as a present, because I passed entrance examinations of the university which I wanted to enter, and also my father wanted me to enter, and I didn’t need extra money to keep the entrance of another university. This time, I am going to Italy with my own money. I feel I have grown as an adult.
By the way, my plan in Italy is very hard. I am going to travel Roma, Milano, Firenze, Venezia. I want to go also Verona, and Assigi, because Verona is famous as a location of Romeo and Juliet, and Assigi is a famous historic place of Francesco d'Assisi. Especially, I want to feel the holey air of Assigi, seeing the beautiful sight there. However, Verona and Assigi is not excluded in the tour, which disappoints me. I will go there in the future. Shopping and restaurants are very attractive to me in Italy. I plan to buy a new wallet there and some clothes, and eat some Italian food.
The topic is going to change. I am going to Nagano to ski and snowboard with my mate of futsal team. I will stay two days in Hotel in Nagoya, and another two days in Bus. I have never been to ski ran before, so I expect a beautiful snow world. Sky and air in Nagano is said to be serene and limpid, so I think I can seen a night sky filled with stars like a planetarium. How beautiful it is! I feel happy just I imagine it. I seldom see full of stars in the sky, for Sky of Tokyo and Kanagawa doesn’t sleep with neon, and other lights of stores, and houses.
I think snowboarding is a dangerous sport. Frankly speaking, I don’t want to do, but all the other students will do it. So I have to do it. I decided to do it carefully and slowly, with my own pace not to let my legs broken. I hope to go back here safely.

In this page, I am going to answer these questions below. I want to remember this semester and also this year. I think this semester is wonderful in that I continue to work “ Jury of Her Peers” Practicing writing skills using same story made big sense to me.
· How do you think your academic writing has changed?
I think my academic writing skills got much better than before, although my skills is not good as other students, and I have many things to be improved in next semester felt my skills got better when I got evaluation from teacher. Since them, I could not think so.
In this semester, I work hard to write supporting sentences precisely to explain my thesis and topic sentences to readers. It is very complex work to me to read again and again to find something useful to topic sentences.
Another things which made my skills better are reading other students ‘paper and some essays from Ebusco, such as “Small things reconsidered" and "Importance of Trifles". In the class, you know, I have some chances to read other students' papers, and make some advice. I learned from this a lot, because other students worked harder than me, the papers were better than that of mine.　Reading academic papers from Ebsco is very meaningful in that I know how to write in essays, and what essays are. Before reading this, I didn't imagine what academic papers were. So reading them made exact shapes of academic essays to me. I learned how to put quotation, how to write about back grounds of story such as historical points and so on from them.

· What do you think you still need to work on?
I think I have to work hard on writing interesting thesis. It is most difficult things to me. The start is important. It has a handle to decide where to go in essays. So next week's assignment is very significant in the next essay. Another thing I struggle at is expanding essays. I already understand 5 paragraph essays, but it isn't long enough to become like academic papers in the Ebsco. My essay is far from that of in Ebsoco. I want my paper to be close to it. To do so, volume is needed, but some paragraphs and sentences has nothing to do with my thesis when I try to write much. It makes me irritated. So, I am going to practice hard developing essays in next semester.
· What do you think you can do well now?
I don’t know, but I think time of my writing some papers becomes shorter than I did before by writing every week’s blog. It gives me a habit of writing in English. If I don’t do that, it is harder and takes too much time every time I get an assignment of writing in English. Also, the 1stparagraph of my essay changed better by focusing on historic point of views, and background of the story using secondary souses.
· What will you work on the hardest in your final essay?
I am going to search about the story a lot, and reading precisely, but there is a big problem, I can not find a good thesis. I have read this story just now, but I don’t know the story’s characteristics. The story is about a poor woman who expects her child. Her husband doesn’t have enough work to feed his wife, and he wants to get rid of the child. The couples go out to find a job every day, but some times later she can’t go out thanks to the baby in her body. So she spends her time watching trees and other plants. She finds similarities between trees, and human, especially, herself. This is all I know about the story, and I feel impression of portraying about many plants in the story. Does the author like natures? Maybe, she wants to write the birth of human life and that of plants are same? Oh, I think I am going to use much times finding thesis!!! This is what I will work on hard in the last essay. I would like to work on the story precisely and make a good essay as a last work of 1 grade. Thank you for reading, but this is not my last blog! Copying Beethoven

In last Christmas holiday, I went to see the movie Copying Beethoven in Kawasaki.
Though that day was Sunday, there were few people in the theatre. It told this movie’s bad popularity to me. The movie was not bad, and not good. I thought this movie a little boring, for the story was monotonous and tedious. I am going to introduce it later.
This story is scatterbrain, because the heroine, Anna Holz　ｗｈｏ　is fictitious
character, live too much successfully in the story. This makes the story too romantic, isn’t it? However, the dresses used in the movie were pretty, and we can enjoy Beethoven’s music very much. So this movie is not so bad. I recommend your seeing the movie when you have too much free time to do nothing to do except seeing it.

Beethoven’s later years, a young lady, Anna Holz, who mayor in composing music in a music school, comes to his room to work as a copyist, who copies his score, and rewrite the score rightly. Anna respects him very much, so this chance to work with him is attractive to her. Beethoven is puzzled at her, but he comes to open his heart to her, and
recognizes her talent. They become much close each other, and then the time comes when he stops his breath. The reverence of Anna for Beethoven, and that of him for Anna don’t develop to love story, but they esteem their talents each other. It is a good shape of master and pupil. They have a good teacher/student relationship.
In the story, some real characters appear. One of them is Karl who was Beethoven’s nephew. He is famous for wasting Beethoven’s money.

As for music,

By the way, as for music, I love listening my favorite music with my ipod nowadays.
I enjoy it in my train, when I walk to home, even in my room. One of my favorite musicians is Sukima Switch. I love their songs’ coward, obedient but a little perverse attitude toward love. I sympathize with their lyric. Their new album is great, I recommend your listening to it. I hope you like it.
Another singer which stimulates my sense is Madonna. Though I like rock music, and I didn’t listen to dance music, I like her latest CD, Confessions on a dance floor.
My favorite songs are Hung up, and sorry. In sorry, many foreign languages includes Japanese, express sorry are used. It is very interesting.
I respect her as a woman, for her life is successful. She married a cool and nice guy, movie director Guy Ritchie, and her songs are wonderful. Her physical beauty is what I want!!! I want to do Yoga and some exercise to be close to her body.

Part time job
I had a part time job in this Christmas holiday. I worked juku school for elementary and junior high school students. My job is very simple. I watched students while they are having everyday tests. So students could not cheat. While the tests are being done, a student talked to me “Can I go to the toilet?” I didn't know this was allowed in the school, but I allowed him to go there. There is no forbidding it. Another students talked to me “What are you teaching, teacher?” I was happy to be told so, though I was not teacher. I wanted to say I was teaching English, but I just say “I am teaching, I don’t know. Can you answer?” Students were very small, and cute. I envied teachers, for they can see their smile everyday. I also marked their papers, especially English, Math, and Japanese. Some students always got good grade in the tests; some students got students in the tests. Their scores were written on the papers on the wall by me. It was one of my job. Students always watch the papers, and said something with their friends.
“She is good, genius He might study hard last night.” They cared the score too much, but this might be a good way to enter their favorite high school, and university. I remembered ex-myself. I did as they do to enter this university. I studied hard. However, I noticed I didn’t study hard these days. I’d like to study again this year, to go to my favorite way as I could enter my favorite university. One of my year’s aim is studying continuously. I think I just enjoyed my campus life last year, though this might be a good study for life. I talked with wide variety of people, experienced many things, went to many places which I had not been before.

12/23 SOCCER GAME

Urawa Reds

I watched soccer games in the stadium twice recently. Both are the Emperor’s Cup. One is the game of Urawa Red Diamonds, which was held in Saitama stadium on December 23rd. In the game, the home team is Urawa Red Diamons, and the away team is Jubilo Iwata. I went there with my friend. The game was very exciting to everyone, for it ended in draw, and extra game was played. Even though extra game was played, the result was yet draw. So PK was held. Moreover, PK was continued until 10th Jubilo player missed it. The game was as I wrote, very long, but it is worth watching so long.

This game was so great, because we couldn’t know which ｗas going to win at the end of the game. First, Jubilo got one point in the former half game, and then Jubilo also got another point in the beginning of the latter game. I shivered and I was afraid that Jubilo ｗａｓgoing to win this game. However, Urawa still had miracle power. Shinji Ono, who is famous for his experience of having belonged to a team in Holland, and utilizes great sense of goals. He got two points．I think the decision of German manager of the team was perfect, for after he decided that Ono would join the member, they got two points. The game was draw, but deciding which team is going to play in the next game is needed. This was a tournament cup.

PK is the ultimate way to decide winner, I think. Each player has enormous presser, and needs having strong mentality. Victory depends on each player. If one player miss it , the miss links directly with the defect. In this game, many players didn’t miss it, and PK continued very long. Players were under extreme tension, and then Urawa became a winner of the game. It got a ticket to play in the next game.

I was overwhelmed not only by the struggles of players, but also by the intensity of especially supporters of Reds. They are close to European football hooligan. They sing original songs of the club team, shout to encourage players, and jeer at the other team. The reader of supporters decide which songs to sing each time, and then sub readers, maybe four or five people, tell the decision loudly to audience who are seated near them.
I felt fear to energy of supporters. Urawa red diamonds is famous for its powerful supporters. However, in the middle of the game, to say objectively, I noticed I shouted loudly, sung songs with dance, and jeered at another team like other supporters. Supporting like this is fun to me!! I became addicted to it. Now I think supporting players with songs consists of pleasure of watching games in the stadium. For players, existence of them is big. This is why home teams win more than away teams. Urawa Red Diamonds didn’t defect in the home stadium this league is connected with the power.

The experience watching games in Urawa side was wonderful. I want to support this team more. Supporting strong teams is fun, because its support becomes meaningful, by the victory. However, some people say it is more significant to support weak team. The supports to strong teams are enough. We should focus on weak team.However, I like strong and polular team.
Urawa reds could go to final game of the Emperor Cup, and became champion on January 1st. I also watched the game in the studiam, so I will write about it other time.

Just I love you!!
Japanese title, Tada Kimi o Aishiteru

I went to see movie last Saturday. I have not seen movies these days because of my crazy busy schedules, so it gave me some kind of refreshments and pleasures. With my friend, I visit a theatre near the Shinjuku coma theatre. Love story is the things we are interesting in very much, for we are both falling in love to each boy. We have strong love energy. In the theatre, Jaspanese romantic movie is seen. We choice the love story of University students. I am going to summarize the story in my words.

A boy meets a strange girl when the entrance ceremony of his University. She is also a new student there. He does not often speak to people, for he is afraid of being hated with bad smells of his medicine too much. Actually, it has no smell. She is a girl whose sense of nose is not so good, so he can talk to her naturally, and they become good friends each other.

His hobby is taking pictures, and he wants to be a photographer in the future. She also comes to be interested in pictures, and the time they spend together becomes longer. Although he likes another beautiful girl, she likes him. So she makes him kiss her in the photo as a reason to send the photo of the title “lovers” to her competitions. At this time, he doesn’t know this is the first and the last kiss with her. After the kiss, she disappears suddenly from him. Her absence lets him know that he likes her.

After many years later, he is told that she dies of her congenital illness. The sick is very complex. Her body development is stopped by the medicine to prevent the illness from becoming big as her body grows, but she decides to stop taking the medicine to be an adult lady for she wants to be loved by him. This is why she dies.

Although this story might make people moved, and I like this movie a little bit, I think this structure of this story is not smooth. Her illness is precautious, not realistic, for it is not mentioned so much. This makes me disappointed. This movie is not worth going to theatres, and paying 1500 yen. Even though you want to watch it, It is better that you wait until the movie is broadcasted on 6 ch. on TV.

Lucky！ Die Wolke
Have you watched German movie before? I watched some. Some are great, some are awful, but I like German movie better than French movie. I can’t understand French movie except Ameri. One of my favorite German movies is “im Yuri” as I told in last semester in this blog. So I went to German movie festival held in Tokyo last summer. There I didn’t find good movies which movies my sense, but I met unknown German director of short films. I had a little good experience.

I got a pair of German-movie ticket last week. The title is Die Wolke, which means black clouds. I am interested in this movie, because I learn German now as the second foreign language, and I love love stories. Need less to say, this is a love story.

Hanna, an ordinary girl in high school is told to come in a class room by Erma a newcomer in the high school. Hanna knows him as a cleaver and a little devious student, and she is interested in him little by little. Before, he tells her so. She entered the empty room to meet him, and have uneasy conversations with him a little. Then suddenly he kisses her. She is very surprised at the kiss, but she feels happy to know he likes her by the kiss, for she is also getting to love him at this point. No sooner had he kissed her than the alarm that tells people to refuge rings a lot. A nuclear power plant in her town bursts. She returns home to help her brother and he promises he pick her up later.
Are they going to meet again and love again in such a atomic danger? It is interesting isn't it ? If you want to see this movie, You should go to a Cinecanon theatre in Yurauchyo.
I will go to this movie at the end of December. So I will write bout details of this movie later.

Ajinomoto Stadium

Do you know The Ajinomoto soccer stadium in Tobitakyu?
FC Tokyo's home stadium is it. I went there not for seeing the game, but playing futsal in the ground located next to the stadium. I went there last Saturday which was filled with the number of out of ordinary people. The game was so important whether Reds, which is expected to be as a winner of all of the Japanese Reargue in this year, and which is famous for its unique and enormous fans, would be Champion in this year or not. In that game the team could not win and being a champion depends on next week's home game held in Saitama stadium. The score Urawa Reds and FC Tokyo was 0-0. I wanted to see TANAKA Marcus Tulio in the Urawa Reds,but I couldn't because the game's tickets cost premium prices, I cannot pay 7000yen per a seat .Accidentally, I happened to go to near the stadium, for my team made it a plan for practicing the futsal stadium next to the Ajinomoto Stadium,
So I could feel the atmosphere of the exciting game, and We could play Futsal feeling the enthusiasm of wonderful funs. It is precious experience to me. I enjoyed a lot and I bought a key holder to remember that experience.

Egg Game

I belong to two Futsal teams, the one is FC fullerene and the other is FC xeta. The former is a team consists of many boys and girls, and the latter is a team consists of only girls who love soccer or futsal. Last Saturday, On 2nd December, FC xeta joined the important game held in Fuchu. We joined Beggar cup called " Egg Game”. My positoin is Pivo, which is like FW in football. We did 4 games, and the results were not good, two drawn games and two loses. We are born losers, and we noticed that we need a lot of practice to be strong and powerful team. The results were bad, but our motivation became more and bigger by the game. It is also good thing to me that I reached the goal, which gave me self -confidence.

Beauty salon and hairdresser

One of my pleasures in my life is going to beauty salon, and having my hair cut. I went there yesterday.　My hairdresser has a good sense of beauty, and also he has a good sense of conversation. He tells me something interesting every time I have my hair cut. Yesterday, he talked to me about professional soccer player, and I felt good impression of him, because of his connection to talk to the topic that I am interesting in. I think his job makes himself to have varieties of conversations. Hairdressers needs conversations with his customers. What I want to say is I learned from him that how to widen topic of conversations with counterparts. Leading chatting to his/her favorite topic
Makes the counterparts feel good impression. It is important to continue dialogs. Moreover, having variety of topics is needed skills, for example, sports, music, movies, TV dramas, and comedians. However, pretending to know about counterparts’ favorite topics is the things I don’t recommend. Doing so makes others have bad feeling. Also Talking too much is bad, for
conversation is conversation, talking with each other is had to be remembered.

TOEFUL ITP

I had TOEFUL ITP test yesterday. It was very difficult to me, for there were
many questions in limited time. I cannot finish it, and now I fear my score is very low. I realized that I have to study hard.
First, I have to listen to English as possible as I can. Usually, I don’t listen to English in my routine work. It is a bad environment to me, so I want to change this everyday into something connected with English. I decide to listen to foreign songs carefully instead of my Japanese songs in my ipod. Also I try to watch TV or DVD in English or English subtitle.
Second, my writings skill is dangerous!!! I utilize this blog. I will sometimes write something like essays in this page. These days, I am too busy to write this page every week. Since today, I am going to write pages every week again.
Third, I have to read a lot. My problems are speed of reading and reading not precisely. I am going to get out of these problems by reading classic books assigned in speaking class.

Do you know the South East Asian's damage in war time?

I take lectures of study on peace in this semester. One of the lectures made me know the tragedy in South East Asia that I hadn't known. It was very shocking to me, for I had to have known it as a Japanese, people whose ancestor is assailant to the tragedy.
The catastrophe is what Japanese did in fifteen years war, from 1930 to 1945. As the video showed in the lecture, Japanese army not only attacked the native people, and their villages, but also killed too much people who have nothing with army nor the war, violated many women. One of the victims, a Philippine told the fact what she had experienced in war time.
She is the only person who escaped from Japanese army's attack in her family. Her families except her were killed by the arm in some ways. It was too bad experience for her to talk to other people, even remember, but she answered the interview of Japanese, noticing she had to fulfill the duty as a survivor, that I told the obvious facts, to Japanese people who did not know them like me. I was moved by her courage to tell us her experience, but I think why the image of south East Asian countries in war time is so weak?
I had read the text on holocaust in China, when I was junior high, and the problem of Korean people who was forced to be temporary lover for Japanese army. But I did not find the damage in East Asia tragedy. The image of East Asia in war time cover veils that of South East Asia, don't you think? We need to know the fact our ancestor did in war time to Chinese, and Koreans, and we need also focus on South East Asia!

A Philippine says, we don't want money, for 60 years passed since the war occurred, but we just want us to know the truth. Money does not settle for the problem. I think so, too. We need to know more and more!!! It is the only things we can do, isn't it?
The only things what we can do is to now the fact, but what the Japanese did was different. It was worse than money! Japanese gave Philippine to many products made in Japan. It included the intention to activate companies by making a lot of products which the governments bought for the damaged country. and to get the market of Japanese products of future. It was done for ourselves not for them. The economy had picked up speed, and Philippine was filled with products printed Japanese companies' logo, such as SONEY, and YAMAHA. The intension was fulfilled, but I noticed that Japanese might have misery hearts as a human. Japanese took advantage of the damaged country even after the war was out of work what human do. So this is why I and other students did not know the details of the South East Asian catastrophe.

Part time Job
I worked at the restaurant yesterday as usual. I am a waitress in casual Italian restaurant. I hate this job, and I wanted to quit this job to have more time for study, but my mother want me to continue this work, for university students needs much money, pay for class, fare of everyday trains from Kanagawa prefecture to Tokyo and for she think she want me to be person who can continue things, that is to say, person who has patience, endurance, and perseverance!
What I do in the restaurant is lead customers to their tables asking non- smoking or smoking, give Manu, take their order, serve water, and spaghetti, pizzas, and cakes, pay the check using cash register. The work in weekend is terrible, many customers comes to the restaurant. After the work, I am worn-out.
I hate this job, but good things happened to me. One of the customers writes that the smile of a waitress was excellent in the questionnaire. I was very happy to read it, because a waitress was me! In that day, I am the only waitress. As proverb say, "understanding better"

Philosophy

I want to talk about the classes I take in this semester.
I take some new classes, for example, philosophy, school psychology, and class for students wants to take qualification of teachers, and class of teaching Morality and ethics in elementary school and junior high school.
Especially I like Philosophy class, which at first I hated very much because of its difficulty. Socrates, Aristoteles, and Platon seemed very difficult and hard to understand. Of course, though it is complicated and I can not understand it at all, but it is interesting a little, and it makes me think something that I don' t usually think in my routine life. It might change my view of life as a human.

When I was in junior high school, I often think about my life before I was born and my life after I died. I feared, and even now I fear the life after my death. How could I know the moment I die? I was surprised that my professor mentioned that kind of things in my class. Auerelius Augustinus, who is famous in classes of world history in Japan for its similarity of names
Between Octavianus, who is nephew of Julius Caesar and him? I found it difficult inputting which is which when I was studying world history for entrance examination.
Auerelius Augustinus mentioned" I cannot know the moment I was born from my mother, and the moment I die. If I know the moment I was born, it is not true, and it is fiction I made unconsciously after I was born. If I know the moment I die, I do not die at the moment. Augustinus’s answer of my question is very shocking to me, and even more I was impressed by the fact I share question with such a person did great deal, Augustinus. So this is why I came to be interested in Philosophy a little.

"I think, therefore I am" makes me think a lot, too. Gogito ergo sum. Sence and experience is not certain, but the fact I think now is certain. The movie, “Matrix" is affected by Descartes. When I saw the movie, I felt I could understand Descartes. I can not know whether the world which I live in now is true or fiction by somebody, but the truth that I think now is a proof of my existence. I feared that I might be controlled by somebody in a capsel, and my brain might be connected with some tubes which someone transport his order to after I saw Matrix like characters in the movie.

I noticed my life will be ended in the future, and I don't know when the day is. So I want to live my life as I like!! I want to enjoy sports, study, love, talking with friends, and eating. Philosophy is hard to understand thanks to its complexity, but I come to like thinking!!!

Class of teaching Morality and ethics for school teaching

Everyday the TV news shows the lack of necessary courses in many high schools. I have sympathetic feeling about teachers, every time I see the news.
What do you think? To tell the truth, my father is a teacher in Junior high school and he always sigh when He sees the news. He says “it is a kind of bullying" Many TV and mass communication say badly to teachers. I know their feeling, but it is out of commonsense, isn't it? I am in the course of taking qualification of English teacher though in my future plan, there is no works like a teacher. I think more and more the condition of teacher become bad. It is not good things for children.

Sophia festival
For me Sophia festival was wonderful. I made much use of the festival.
I took part in sports festival, and Taiyaki store. In the sport festival, our team did not win, but I enjoyed it very much. Our store got prized by its character decorated and high quality of customer service and tastes. “2nd students in my team prepared for the store very much. I thought I would do like them next year. Managing something is very hard.

Tristan and Isolde

Have you ever heard about the story” Tristan and Isolde”.
My answer was No before I saw the CM of the movie Tristan and Isolde.
The advertisement told me that Romeo and Juliet was based on the story of Tristan and Isolde. I love the Romeo and Juliet very much, so this story sounded interesting to me.
Forbidden love story is one of my favorite patterns of stories, but I came to know that this story is not only forbidden love story but also story of knighthood in medieval time.
I am interested in this topic, so Iam going to search for this kind of information!
I also want to watch this movie. James who is good looking actor like James Deen played Tristan in this movie.

Thinking in English

I began to think about something in English in trains recently.
This is because my speaking teacher recommended it. His idea is that keeping a little effort is good for learning languages. It is true to English as to other languages. He makes it a rule that he think in Spanish every day even now for his Spanish practice, which country he visited many years ago. I think it is a good idea for my English, because it makes me give chances to feel English more similar even in a place like Japan where is surrounded by Japanese materials not English, and where I need not to speak in English. This is an example of my own practice.

When I find words I don't know, I use electric dictionary. It is a very useful tool, for it is portable. I can study English with the tool even when I cannot sit down seats. Every where can be places to study with it. So I don’t worry when I forget reading texts .I sometimes do it in cars of trains. What a wonderful world!!
I don't know what will happen to me by doing this way, but I try to continue this work for my English. Anyway, I love the process of thinking in other language.

Using Internet as a tool of learning English

In the speaking class, I knew the existence of youtube.
I didn't know youtube, so the class gave me good information to especially access to music video.
I like both singing and listening to music very much. Using youtube and web sites of lyrics is like a Karaoke for free, but some music video is not seen in the youtube.
I was disappointed so much. I think this way for learning English is very useful in that it gives us motivation for English.
People make every effort to the things related to their favorites. Don’t you think so ?
Also the internet gives me a lot of chances to get accustomed to casual and easy English.
I want to take advantage of the internet. In this annual class, I write blog every week more than 750 words. I t takes many hours, but I believe it is effective to my English.
The bad things about my blog are : I don't have people who correct my sentences, the person watches my blog is only teacher, I don't have many variations of the topic, and I always same kind of words. In the word dictionary of my brain, there are very few words for me to use for making sentences not just reading and understanding.
I will try hard to improve my writing skills in this weblog.

Romantic tool
Yesterday, I knew the tool named Skype. Do you know this good tool? It is like a TV phone. We can do it without money. My team mate told me it. He has a girl friend who studies as an exchange students in the Untied State of America, and He keeps contact with it. When they live apart, they can chat, and keep their relationships. Don’t you think it is very romantic? I was moved so much by the fact he calls her often to talk dairy topics, because he still loves her. I noticed she is loved by him very much.
I also noticed this tool is good for my learning languages. I have a cousin who is native English speaker, and I can talk to her in English with it!

Have you ever seen this movie?
It is a kind of love comedy, but more than love comedy. Drew Barrymore played a heroine in this movie.
The story
A man comes to Hawaii for his work as a veterinary surgeon in an aquarium. His name is Henry He meets a beautiful and cute woman who eats waffles as a breakfast in a café in the morning. Her name is Lucy. He approaches her, and has some conversation with her. He gets along with her through the conversation, but the next day, she does not remember him when he meets her in the same café. She regards him as a queer man, and then he is deeply depressed. A waitress tells him the fact that she is a kind of amnesiac. Her memory keeps only for a day. When she sleeps, she forgets everything happens yesterday. She remembers everything until she gets a traffic accident. She, herself, does not know the fact, and her family tries hard for her not to notice it. When she notices the fact, her family tells the fact, but the next day, she forgets it.
He can’t forget her, even she is amnesiac, so he has a first date with her every day.
He continues to say “Hi! My name is Henry” every morning. For her, everyday-kiss is a first kiss.
When she notices her sick, she began to keep her diary to remember him. In the story of climax, she notices that this love has disadvantage for him, and put away the diary to forget him forever. This story is comedy, so at the end they live happily ever after.

What would you think if you were amnesiac? I can not imagine that, but it is very sad to forget that I am loved by the man who I love very much, isn’t it?
I could not see it without crying, and weeping. After the movie, I had a lot of tissue in my hands. Do not miss tissue when you see it. Oh, you need to remember this is a comedy. You can enjoy a lot of funny jokes!!!

Big Mc, Big bite

I ate big mc yesterday, because I am not feeling well.
When I my feeling is blue, I want to eat something big, for example,
Big mc, big chocolates. This custom is not good for my hearth,
but I can’t stop it like a alcoholic!!!　Big mc has something powerful.
It gave me positive thinking. When you bit it, you become happy.
How wonderful this food is!! My big mouth has a remarkable aptitude for biting this.
I think BIG MCs all around the word has the same taste. Amazing!
When I ate it last summer in Britain, I enjoyed its taste. My dream is eating Big MC all around the world. What is your dream?
　By the way, what do you do when you are not feeling well?　What is good for my　mental thing. I am spending very hard time these days, so I am a little tired. I want to take some rests, but I need to finish some homework, this blog, practicing futsal, doing part time job. It is crazy schedule. I sleep a lot, sing songs in big voice, not caring for others.

Playing soccer in the rain
I had an important game with a team in Meiji University last Sunday. I was a beginner; I was not to join the game. However that day the number of grills was not enough, so I get to join the game. Suddenly, it began to rain heavily, so we got wet unfortunately. My body shivers very often because of the weather. Few hours later, I noticed that my throat was something strange.I might have got a cold. Eating nutritious food and sleeping enough is good way for the recovery, so I eat very much now, not caring about my heavy weight, and I try to sleep a lot, not doing my huge homework.　Oh, my god!Beside Sophia festival is coming soon, my fiend birthday party is tomorrow, I want to go shopping to buy my skirt and my friend wants to talk with me. My hard schedules are waiting for my recovery in line.

Futsal

Recently I began to practice praying futsal, a kind of soccer which is becoming popular .I had thought that I wanted to play the game for a long time, because I was a manager of a team in Sophia university. I watched many games for along time every week. My enthusiasm about playing futsal became very big, and I decided to became a player in the same team.
I was not good at it, but people in the team are very kind. They teach me, and accompany with me on my practice of passing balls.　I enjoy futasl very much.

　More good news happened to me.　Two exchange students from United States joined our team. Our team became international. Don't you think It is so wonderful. I want to get lang with them. I talked with one of them. He major in Japanese history in this university and He loves soccer very much for a long time.His family are all soccer fun, don' t you think his family is so specific? I thoght Soccer is not so popular amongAmerican people ,because there are many popular sports in America, for example American futball, Baseball. This myth was broken up by his family. Oh, I forgot the important fact that my friend in Hawaii also loves soccer, and she is a fun of Nakata Hidetoshi. Anyway, the exchange student are very intersting to me. He speaks in Japanese better than I speak in Japanese. I think his knowledge about Japanese history, too. It's so funny.

He winked at me without any feeeling yesterday, but I was alittle embarrassed. For I am not accustomed at such custom.I thoght wink-custome belonged to girls, not boys as I said in my blog. I hasitate to say, but I changed my mind!!! Winks of boys are aloso good, and cute. Why don' t you wink at girls if you are a boy ?
By the way, festivals in sophia university is comming soon.

Summer vacation　It was miracle for me to have two free months. I was looking forward to this summer vacation for a long time since I entered this university. Having long vacations is a limited privilege of university students. I spend hard time doing my homework to have this vacation in the last semester, but the vacation ended last week. I am sad now and I decided to study again to get spring vacation.　

sightseeing
I went to Britain for sightseeing and I stayed in London for a week with my sister. This is my first trip to go abroad. I was a little nervous before I got an airplane thanks to theTV news which had told us that terrorism、 but as soon as I rode in the airplane, I got to be happy with handsome smiles of flight attendant. How wonderful Virgin Atlantic is!!!One of them even winked at me　This is my first time to be winked by man. Japanese boys do not do that! I enjoyed the travel of the sky very much. I went to many famous places in London, like Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace. Big Ben is a very gorgeous building. The view of lighted Big Ben in the London Eye in the night was excellent. Relief parade of guardsmen in Buckingham Palace brought the fact that I was in London then to my notice. You know every person wear red military uniforms and walk in line. Tower of London was more than I had expected. I am interested in the history of Britain very much, so this famous historical place stimulates me. Traitor’s gate makes me think about something. There are a lot of barbarous gadgets to kill traitors like the noose, or things for people to be hanged. Through the my stay at London, I noticed the importance of HenryⅧ　in the history of England. Many historical places have something with him.
Ｉ also went out of London, and visit other famous places like, one of world heritages, Stonehenge and Roman Bath, Shakespeare’ｓ birth place， and Christchurch in Oxford university. Stonehenge is so spiritual places that I took many pictures. The constitution of English Heritage works so well that there are no modern buildings, houses, souvenir shops, and restaurant for sightseers. It keeps the mysterious fascination of Ｓtoneｈenge. Roman Bath was good; you know the word of Bath named after the town, Bath. I thought Roman were alike to Japanese, because lots of public bath are in Japan, and Japanese public bathes are evolving now such as many“ Super Sento”around the land of Japan. Shakespeare’s birth place is located in Stratford –-upon-Avon. You can see the little classic house there. I t is worth especially forｐpeople who major in English literature like me to go there. I bought funny pencils made like his figure.
Christchurch in Oxford University is wonderful, Its beautiful dinning is famous for the movie of Harry Potter.　World- No 1- university was more than I expected. I learned
Hugh grant studied in New Collage of this university.
British Museum is the place I decided to go Britain. I wanted to see Rosetta stone very much, because I saw that of replica and I love history. I was surprised that every people see its wonderful collection for free. I t is open to everyone.
Britain has a lot of historical places，I wanted to visit again to go places that I could not go to.

Hotel, Shopping and gourmet

　I enjoyed the stay in London very much. London is so popular places that everything was expensive. I was surprised the prices of McDonalds. They had same tastes, but I needed 5 pounds, about 1000 yen for hamburger, M size potatoes, and juice.
I ate fish and chips in the pub near my hotels. The taste was not so bad, but it was so big for me with too much French fried. Big appetite!!! .British breakfast is very famous around the world. I ate fried beckon, potatoes, tomato, mushrooms, and some toasts, everyday in my hotel, and for dinner I ate roasted chicken with French fried and Scotland’s salmons. Salmons were very delicious. I didn't eat other British cuisine, because what menu does British cuisine have? Instead there are many　Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Indian restaurants. While my stay, I enjoyed Musakka, and some pasta. The worst taste I enjoyed in Britain was a sandwich I bought at Kiosk. I do not want to remember the taste. Awful!!! My hotel was located in South Kensington, which is almost the centre of London, so I enjoyed shopping taking undergrounds. I went to Oxford circus　and Piccadilly　circus to buy some clothes in the shops located along the Regent St. Londoners were very fashionable, I was amazed very much.I met a man studying Japanese for business in a car of underground. He sat next to me reading books for Japanese learner, so I decided to talk to him in Japanese. Konnnichiwa! He was very surprised and told to me that He studied Japanese. And then I told with him for a while. After we got out of the subway, we took a picture for memory of this meeting. I was very happy to meet a people study Japanese in the far -away country. I enjoyed the stay in London very much, and I decided to study English hard, and do part time job a lot for traveling abroad.

Im Yuri

I watched “Im Yuri” in the German conversation class.
The story is love story between man who is insensitive about girls and loves physics and a girl who is optimist and loves him very much. They travel to Istanbul together by accident. During the long travel, He thinks he loves another girl, and he does not realize how important she is to him until she disappeared from him. In contrast, she loves him though he talks about another girl, and she wants him love her, and touch her body in her heart. At the ending of the story he realizes how big her love to him is and he loves her. He kissed her very long time romantically.
The story is good, and the two character are attractive, for he is a kind of shy boy, and
She has a cute big smile. This story includes the social problem among German Turkey.

COLDPLAY concert

I went to the concert of COLDPLAY the day after yesterday, which is wonderful, fantastic, and perfect!!!!!!!! I t was performed in the Nippon Budokan which is traditional place, and famous, for Beatles played there. Before the concert stated, I bought T shirts, and pamphlets of Cold play. I waited long time for this concert since I was in Junior high school, because this Japanese concert tour is first time for them. I have loved their songs since I was in Junior high, and the song called “in my place” made me a fan of them.
In that concert, They played many popular songs, like “yellow”,” trouble”,” in my place”, “scientist”,“ speed of sound”, “swallow in the sea” and so on. When “ yellow “was played, many yellow balloon was pushed from the stage. How wonderful that was.
I was almost crying when “scientist” was played, I was really impressed.

“What if” was very beautiful, I am very moved by its song. It is my favorite, and also the scientist, and Yellow are too. I wanted this concert continue forever, but this concert finished, and then I came back this real life as I have to write web bog every week. ATHLETIC MEET IN MY HIGH SCHOOL
I went to the athletic meets with my friends. I met ex- teachers, and watched the performances. The performances were exciting, and we remember our athletic meets when we practiced every day, and talked a lot.
This year’s winner is a class that played Kentoshi. Kentoshi is people who went to China in nara period I danger of death because in that time, the tools of sailing sea were not developed. They tried hard to import the Buddhist doctrines, and many things for this country, Yamato to be developed.
After we watched the performance, we went to our friend’s house which is near there to see photos we took last year. They felt kind of sentimental, and talked about last year a lot. And then, we went to a restaurant, and ate a lot.
In that athletic meets, I met an important person, and talked with him a little bit. So I was happy.

I am happy now that I finished the web log assignment. This web log takes long time to me, and every time I had to write, I was worried about topics for this assignment. Through this web log, I learned the speed of writing, which is important for me fo r I was lack of that kind of skills. Summer vacation is going to come tomorrow, because my last test is held tomorrow.

I love comic dialogue
Last week, I went to Ikebukuro to see a show of amateur comedians in other university, because my friend appeared in the stage. The shows were great, and all the comedians make me laughing all the time. Especially, a comedian called Maguro gyosen was cute.
It became one of my favorite; I think the day come soon when I became the fan. It was a great time, and I enjoyed it very much. My friend did good comedy, and I hope his success as a comedian. I also thank him so much to tell me the wonderful show.

Summer sale
Last Saturday, I went to Yokohama to enjoy summer sales .There were full of people in Yokohama, and I spend all the money I had to buy clothes.

School daze

Cause it was showed in only small theater.
I wanted to see the movie in the theatre, but I couldn't. So I decided to buy DVD.I am no doubt that I will love the movie and watch it many times. It is a kind of youth comedy, which is my favorite, you know. The story is about a boy who has no pride, and always teased by classmates in High school. He used to be an actor when he was a little boy, so he decides to play in the TV drama again to change his life and to be liked by a girl in his class. The TV drama is about a High school where energetic teacher teaches. His part is like himself. He is also teased by others in TV drama again. Can he be a hero in the drama and in the real world?
I think the story is so funny, and the actor is also good, because Moriyama Mirai played the main character, Haruo. He is very cool and has good-looking. Non the less, he played well.
I hesitate to say, but I like him very much. I went to see the Metal Macbeth, for He played in it. "Water boys" is one of his popular works. The story is good, you know. Most famous work he played in is "Socrates in Love" in Japanese " Sekai no chushin de ai wo sakebu"
His natural, but unique acting is my favorite. His new work is "Our War" a TBS TV drama.
It will be broadcasted in this September. The story is about a boy who time traveled the Pacific War period. He realizes the importance of peace through his peculiar experience. Please check it out, and think about peace. I cannot look forward to watching the drama.

About my summer vacation
The summer vacation in the university is very long, so I want to enjoy the vacation.
What should I do ? I think making a lot of plans is best. So I am thinking of it now.
First I want to go travel abroad, but I have never been to other countries. I have to make my passport,. England is one of interesting place for me.
Second I will go to training camp in Nagano and Hadano. Other university students will be with us there, so I want to make new friends.
Third, I am going to meet my friends in High school, Junior high school, elementary school
Talking, talking , talking, and Talking!
Forth, I am going to read Manga and novels. My ambition of the summer vacation is enjoying Manga from morning to night. What a wonderful day it will be.
Fifth, I have to find a job and do it. I need money, money, and money.
My plans are wonderful, but I don't know how many I can do in that lists.

CDs
I bought new CDs yesterday,
Black holes and revelations and CD of Thom York. As soon as I finish this web log, I want to listen to the music. I am going to go the Muse's concert, I forget to say but is one of the thing I do in Summer vacation. I also go to the concert of Coldplay. I love coldplay since I was in junior high school. Then, I listened to their CD many, many times. After I know their music, I came to listen to foreign music.

Kenji Miyazawa

In the speaking class, I am learning about the way I make people understand what I say.
I talked to my friends about Kenji Miyazawa. For the presentation, I prepare the paper, in which I summarize what I want to say, but I could not do that well.
When I was in the elementary school, I read kanji’s works in the class, because my home-room teacher loved Kenji Miyazawa so much. Even now I remember the preface of Chumon no ooi ryouriten, a Restrain Has Many Order. The expressions of ” pink air” and “ rock candy “ are very beautiful, and they make us feel the beauty of nature in Japan. Kenji Miyazawa loved the nature of Iwate. I have been where Kenji was born and lived. I saw the room Kenji used.

Reports

Now I have a large amount of assignments, and it irritates me so much.
What a busy day I am spending, I don't have enough time to sleep.
For me reports take much time, I think I'm not good at it. Yesterday, I wrote about George Orwell, and Salomon Rushdie. The topic I wrote is the racial discrimination of Orwell's description in Shooting an Elephant from Rushdie's thought in The New Empire within Britain. By writing that Report, I learned the importance of reading precisely.　It is very difficult for me.　I also learned the author's history is very useful to know the thought f the author deeply. For example; George Orwell is a British born in India, and worked as a police in Burma when Burma was a British colony. I thought his expression of native people in Burma is somehow bad. It gave me a feeling of racism, It is because his history of life. He worked as a police in Burma is one of biggest causes, I think. He can't have a fair feeling of them, because of his place, and his back ground as a British man. On the other hand Rushdie's back ground is very different. He was not British, but studied in Britain.

Sunday

Last Saturday, I went to Harajuku with my cousin who lives in Hawaii, and who is an American, because she wanted to go there for shopping. Thanks to everyday- world cup games on TV, She is now fond of soccer, and she loves Nakata Hidetoshi, a famous Japanese soccer player. She took many pictures of him from TV, and she says He is cool, he is coo many times. For me, Inamoto is my type. When we got to Harajuku, she found a soccer shop by accident, and we entered the store.
　In that store, there are many world cup official goods for supporting the samurai blue team.
She was very excited to see them, and she decided to buy something supporting Nakata. She chose towel and cell phone strap. Both are printed Nakata 7.I also bought Inamoto strap and Nakamura towel. Inamoto towel were not sold. And then we went to other stores, ate crapes, visited Omotesanndo Hills, and took print seals of our own. I spent a good time with her, but I was tired very much, walking so much.
　In the train for home, she said I wanted to buy a Nakata’s uniform; I was very surprised to hear that.
Next time I will take her to Yokohama to buy that uniform. She said that sounds like a lot of fun.

Tanabata festival is coming soon. I love the festival and I go to Hiratuka to enjoy that festival every year. (My high school is located in Hiratuka is one of the reason.)
I hope the night of July 7 th is fine for Orihime and Hikoboshi to meet on the Milky Way.

Tomorrow, I am going to go to Ikebukuro to see comedy show.

My cousins
I talked with and played with my cousins. they came from Hawaii for sightseeing. They will stay in Japan for two months, from June to the end of July. I talked to them in Japanese, bｅｃａｕｓｅ my speaking in English takes a lot of time and it is not convenient. They also can speak in Japanese a little bit. To their talking, they love a Japanese musician, Def Tech.
The TV program, Red and White music show New Year's Eve makes them to know the musician. It is interesting. The girl sung songs with beautiful voices, which songs are “story” of Ai, and “My way" of Def Tech.
She wanted to go Harajuku very much, so I will go to Harajuku with her and her little brother. It will be busy weekend.
　Her little brother loves Japanese manga very much.
He often goes to library to read Japanese manga in Hawaii. He likes "naruto"
he said. When I was in Junior High school, I often read that series.

July reminds me of Athletic Meets in High school.
In my high school, Athletic Meets was hardest and most wonderful event in annual events, so I remember the event in this month. When I was A second grade student, third grade students leads us to do everything.

People
I could not forget the existence of a man. He is genius, and I think He is funnier than professional comedians on TVs. He always gave us Umaibo, snacks, displayed light sever (Star wars) and danced lots.
I think the day is coming when he became famous all over the Japan. I heard he joins in comedy club.

When I was a third grade student
When I was third grade, the task of the athletic meets was very big.
In my school, It is a tradition that Third grade students make original story, dances, music, wears, and formation of the dance to create like a show the pray grand without singing. My class played the story about Migration birds, so we became birds. I made music and formation of the dance, and story with many classmates. I was in the spring of my life then. I want to go back if I could. We practiced everyday, from morning to night, Monday to Sunday, but it was very fun.

Victory
Our class got full victory, because we did hard, tug of war, centipede race, and rope skipping. We all smiled with tears falling.
After the show, we went to the waterworks beside the swimming pool and got wet, and gave water each other, like crazy child. It is another tradition in my school.

Party,
After the athletic meets, we did party two days, we did Fireworks, singing, and talking. We share the sentimental feeling on the chute in the park.

I will not forget this special memory in my life. I miss it very much,.
Wonderful days passed quickly. The Athletic Meets' season is now.
I will meet the friends shared that experience this summer vacation.
People cannot live without memories.

The tragedy of the Samurai Blue

The game, Japan and Australia, was something awful. I watched the game on TV.
Everyone knows that Japan leaded Australia at first, but in the last ten minutes.
I think every player tried hard to win the game, but the Australian players and its manager tried harder than Japan. I t also apply to the game Japan vs. Croatia. I want Japan to do their best more and more in the next game. Miracle happens when people try hard.

Iｎ the university, I was very surprised at the many people who did not watch the game, even it was a world cup every four year, and who were not interested in the world cup game. Why? I thought it is national event, and according to the every- day – world cup news on the mass media, most people watch the game. It is a mystery. I think world cup is one of the topics many people share in conversations, so watching them makes the conversation with other people better.

Movie and Books, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the speaking class, and saw the movie in my home. Both are funny, and I enjoyed it very much.　In the Speaking Class, I learned about the importance of alliteration, historical context, author’s history, translation in reading literatures. I was interested in translation, because it influences the mood of the story very much by choosing what words are good for the original. Foreign literature written in another language depends on translation. Translation is only away to read the literatures. The professor showed us two difference types of Japanese translation of
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in the class. Every people were willing to hear that.
My favorite is the older translation, because the word choice of the newer one is unusual to me, it is too casual, I thought.

Today I heard from my mother that my cousins came to Japan.They live in Hawaii, and their father is American. One is junior high school student girl and a elementary student boy. They are really sweet, and cute.I think it takes over the 10 years that I last met them. They sometimes write letters to me. The girl loves Hello Kitty and the boy loves Doraemon.I am really happy for them come to Japan. I will take them to go many popular places in Tokyo, I have a problem. I cannot speak English!!!!!They can speak a little Japanese, but I think English is useful.
　I always think I am very shamed to say I cannot speak English as I am a Sophia student. This is the biggest complex. I want to overcome it, but how?Practice everyday? Right, I have to do that. By the way, I said their father is the first foreigner to me, it is true.When I met first, I am afraid even to look at him, but I get to be accustomed to him, because he is good-looking and kind.When I was a junior high school student, I wrote about him in prize essay as a summer assignment, and it got good score. World Cup News
The World cup was begun day before yesterday in German. Did you see the games, German VS Costa Rica., and England VS Paraguay? The game of German was great. Many times, German players reached the goals. The game finished in 4-2.
I watched it on TV even it was midnight, so I did not have good weekends, because my morning and night turned because of games. I slept until noon in Saturday. It was so bad. The game of England VS Paraguay was a little boring.1-0, and England won the game.I wanted the player more goals, but it was good for me to see Michael Owen. He is one of my favorite prayers, because he is cool.

Hanabi
I displayed fireworks with my club member, I enjoyed them very much. I remember the high school days. I used to display fireworks with my classmate in the beach, and the park near high school. I felt something very sentimental, but schools days never come back. I have to enjoy Now, I thought.

Macbeth
Today I want to talk about the details of Musical “Metal Macbeth” more. The musical has a story arranged by Kudo Kankuro, He is very popular amoung yang. His story has humorous. The story of Metal Macbeth is very unique. It is very different from the story of William Shakespeare.

The story is based on future and 1980.Both is linked through a CD. In the future, it is the same with the original. A man betrays his king with his wife, but at last he die and a son of his friends becomes a king. The man thought to be Macbeth finds a CD which is METAL MACBETH, who is the metal band in 1980s.
Three witches tell him to listen to the CD. And the Lyrics tell him his future; he will be a king, the son of Banquo became a king, be careful with Macduff, you never be killed by a man born from woman’s laps spread, you will never be killed unless the forests move, and a wheel in the ground move. The song are based on Metal rock. Metal rock was hot among 1980s,but soon the popularity went down, and the kind of rocks are minority in Japan now. So the metal rock is similar to Macbeth. He became a king only in few years, and soon he die!!! “The consensus is one of the reason I decided to use Metal rock”, Kankuro said in the booklet. It is so interesting, isn’t it?

Samurai blue is a great team

World cup soccer is coming soon I think EVERYONE is looking forward to the game.
I want to see the game on TV with pizza and cola. What a wonderful isn’t it?
I want Japan to win many times, and get the ticket to go to the next tournament.
I like Shunsuke Nakamura, because he is born in Yokohama, and he is a genius in making effort. His face is also charming！

To come to the Worldcup, I remember the memory in junior high school days.
My friends and I (almost every person ｉｎ my brass band club) watch the game on TV in the club, and my teacher found it, and SCOLDED very much. She stopped our club activity for ONE WEEK. SO we wrote the letter “WE NEVER DO LIKE THAT.WE FORGET ABOUT WORLD CUP, AND PRACTICE VERY HARD FOR THE CONTEST, SO PLEASE FORGIVE US, PLEASE.
NOW it is one of my good memories, and I think all never forget the incident, BECAUSE World cup is held every four years. We have a lot of chance to remember.

Hello, what are you doing now? I am writing this blog for hours in this midnight I am so sleepy, so I am not sure I write it without mistakes. I think there are many mistakes.
This week is very hard to me, 6 days of a week, I spent very hard writing many reports. I wrote about the economy of developing world, especially India, and Beowulf for speaking, about litereatr for writing class. My brain will be panicked. Macbeth is very interesting to me. I have little knowledge about British literature now,
For I did not have a chance to read them until I entered this university, but I am interested in works of William Shakespeare. I like to see the move based on Macbeth’s story. The story is dark and thrilling. Especially, Lady Macbeth is worth thinking about
many hours.

Last week I went to Aoyama theatre to see the play of “Metal Macbeth”. It is not Macbeth, but the story based on it is very funny. Because the title of the play is Metal Macbeth, the music is totally metal. It is a rock musical, songs are all cute.Many famous actor and actress like Uchino, Takako matsu, Mirai Moriyama played in it. The story is rearranged by Kankuro Kudoh who is a very popular producer. Everyone knows him in Japan. The story has sort of comedy seen which is very funny.
Why is the musical metal not punk? It is because Metal has sorrow destiny, and it is less popular than punks. Punks are now golden days. The sorrow of Macbeth fit the Metal ,the producer said. I think it fits Macbeth well. Thanks to the musical, I want to read the original. It is very hard I know, but I want to try it. Do you know classes which tell me details of Macbeth? If it is here I want to take part in. And the Macbeth movie which I saw is very horrible and vivid. I want to write about Macbeth more, so next week I am going to write about it.

BEOWULF
Last speeking class, I learned about Beowulf. Beowulf is one of the oldest poem written in old english. I heard old English spoken by professor Cheetham It was totally different from Modern English. Grammer, words and everything is different .It is so interesting.
My class mates said that Beowulf is written in Nara era in Japan.
Japanese language written in Japan is understandable for me without dictionary.,(but,I can not understand in details)Does English person undeerstand old English?
I heard the answer is No.
I searched about the social centurality of woman in Beowulf on the internet.

Dorothy Carr Porter said that "it is clear that the woman are central and important to the poem as a whole" and " beowulf presents the female character as women central both to the sociey itself and within the society presented in the poem, and far from " marginal excluded figures""(2). I do not know about the Beowulf well, beacause I have never read this, but I think I can understand the way to approach the literature from a viewpoint of women position in the literature.I do not know what academic thesises are like, so it became a good time to read the academic thesises . I want to raed the good example of them more to make them clear to me.
I am happy to be able to write about and think about literatures.When I enterd this uni, I am not sure to write about these things. I think My knowlege of literatures grouws up a little. It is so wonderful thing.

Summer Sonic

Hallo, How do you?I am fine, but I am very busy looking for a part time job.I think working, as a part time is good thing to know what is a job. And also it makes me a wide view of a society, it helps me to be more active. Don’t you think so? I am finding a job to teach English grammar to junior high school student, or a job to be a waitress in a restaurant.I want to work only twice a week, because I need twice a week for my cycle, three times a week for my homework. I will tell you when I decide my part time job. And I want to write how hard working is.And I am finding another circle. The circle that I belong to is very nice.People are kind, cool and cute. I really enjoy it very much.But I want to do something more funny, childish, crazy, and makes me laughing like a comedy. If people who know that kind of circle, please tell me. I want to laugh at something a lot.

Today I am going to Shinjuku. I will buy some clothes for summer, and eat dinner with my classmates.Shinjuku

By the way do you have any plan for very long summer vacation?I think you did not. It is a little early to think about it. I do not decide it, neither. My plan, which is already decided, is going to rock live called Summer Sonic. It is held in Makuhari messes in Chiba.I always go to the rock festival in the summer, but last year I did not.I had to study in the school, which made me extremely irritated.It is so exciting and fantastic. People who have never been to a rock festival need to go, I think. There are many rock festivals in Japan. Foreign people often said that Japanese rock festival is very cleaner than that of other country. The audience is kind, polite, and good.

In the Summer Sonic, many famous or young bands from other country gathered every year. I saw Rediohead, Greenday, Sum41, the strokes, and so on. How wonderful. And this year, Metarica, Linkinpark, and Muse will come here. I want to see Muse.
Muse is a cool British band, and also famous both in Japan and in America.

My favorite foreign band is Radiohead. It is famous around the world. I love it very much. Summer Sonic 04 made me know the band. Their performance was great and impressed me very much. I t is like arts. I could not believe the existence of such band.
I t is difficult to describe how wonderful the band is. For me the songs are special. I alwa ys listen to the music without thinking of anything. The songs made me vacant. I love especially their 2nd and latest album. The 2nd album, the bends, is cool. The nature of alternative rock exists in the album. I f there are people who had never heard their songs, I recommend the song called Fake Plastic Trees, High and Cry in the bends, no Surprises, Exit Music for a Film in the OK Computer, Pyramid songs in amnesiac. These songs are great, and are worth sparing time and listening to.
Oh, YOU DO NOT FORGET TO LISTEN TO THE SONG CALLED “CREEP”. Thom York is genius.

I often listen to songs of Sugercult. Sugarcult is a melodic punk band. I met them twice. They are so kind and good persons. I took a picture with them, and I have their aught graphs, I have shaken hands with them before. Good, good, good band it is. I went to their concert many times,ａｎｄＩthink I missed their concert in Tokyo only twice. I go at least once when they come to Japan. I like them, not only their songs are good, but
They love Japan. I love people who like Japan. Good charlotte is famous for their loves of Japan.

　Oh, it is time to say goodbye, and next time I am going to write about Macbeth which I will see in the theater Aoyama this Saturday. The musical is very popular, so it is hard to get the ticket. I get only one ticket, and I have to go there alone. I am looking forward to it. And I will become 19 years old.

Hello. How are you? Did you have a nice weekend and enjoy it?
Nowadays I am very busy but spending good time. Last Friday, I had a class party, and enjoyed talking with other people. I t was very good time to get to know each other,ａｎｄＩ went home very late, for my house is far from Tokyo. I envy people living there.
I think Tokyo is wonderful, perfect, vivid and fashionable. One of my dream is living in Tokyo especially Nakano, near Shinjuku, for myself.
Oh, and last Saturday, training camp of my circle near lake Yamanaka. It was very fun, because I got chances to talk with new friends. I slept very late, around 3. So last Sunday I slept and slept and slept. Because of them, now I am doing homework, which I did not do during the weekend, Much hard. Help me……
　But this May Many good things are waitng for me, for my birthday, May 24th is coming soon, and I am going to see the musical Metal MacBeth on27.How great they are.Can you imagine about the musical? I t is a Macbeth, but it is a little different from the original.

Its color is beautiful natural yellow and it is put in ship of fake banbo leaves. You can enjoy Japanese time, mood, atmousphere, eating this with green tea. The sweet was awarded before.

New world

I love to watch movies very much, and last week I went to movies with my sister.
There ware many interesting movies in the theatre. Producers is famous as a musical in Broadway. At fast I could not decide which ticket to buy, but I decided this movie, the title is New World. I chose this movie, because I love that story of Disney. I saw that Disney movie many times when I was a third grade in elementary school, and then I loved the character in the movie, John Smith. He was very cool guy in Disney, and I always watched it to see him on TV.
I did not know the story of Pocahontas was real, true, non-fiction one until I watched the New World. I could not believe it!!! How romantic the love story of Pocahontas and John Smith was!!!
The more and more, my interest of Pocahontas is getting bigger. So I looked for the homepages written about Pocahontas. The pages said Pocahontas and john Smith was
Real persons, but the existence of love between the two people was doubtful, because John was 15 years older than Pocahontas, and she was 13 year old girl. And John smith often wrote about the same kind of stories,” I was saved by a native beautiful girl.” And there were many other reasons to deny the love between two people.

Italian restaurant

I went to Italian restaurant with my ex-teacher and my friends. One of my friend said she studies French in Tokyo Gaigo University. My teacher paid the bill. We ate course of Italian. I chose mutton. This is my first time to eat mutton. The taste is not so good, and I could not enjoy it, but pasta, and, cake were so delicious. It was really fun.

I met many friends during the week.
A friend of mine who now lives in Kyoto gave me Yatsuhashi, famous souvenir sweets. I love them, so I was happy. My friends enjoyed their new life their own way. One joins Tennis club, one is busy with dates with boys. I thought of myself, do I enjoy my life now? I can not say both No, and Yes. I can say “so, so.” I somehow think I need the thing, which makes me crazy. From this April and May I think I did not do some crazy things. What is that? Is it sport, movie, and music? I do not know. E very day homework makes me busy.

Catching acold
And at the end of golden week, I caught a cold. I think it came from my less sleeping, this blog also help me catch this cold! So I slept from morning to night, but I think I need more sleeping. It is not enough……….I went to hospital, which is not ordinary, because ordinary hospital was closed during the golden week. The doctor was so old, and the hospital is old, too. I took three different types of medicine, for sneeze, for virus, for…I forgot it.

Good things happened!!!!
This occurred in Tokaido line on my way to go university, yesterday. I felt bad because of the cold I caught. And my health was so bad not to stand, so I sat down on the floor of the train. Then a man said to me “ Are you OK?” and then he asked another man to give me a seat. I was really relieved, and appreciate for his kindness. If he had not asked a man,I could not have gone to a speaking class. This was a time I met special kindness.
I thanked him so much.

May is a month for me to catch cold. Please be careful.
And today I exchanged souvenirs with my friend. Chimaki like a kusamochi in Niigata.was cute and good taste. Time passed so fast, I really think so.

Movies for sunny days

Movie depends on weather.
About the movie I want to see in sunny days in summer.
I know many people love movies and each one loves each kind of movie.
My favorite kinds of movie are classics, love story, history, musical, and Japanese and love comedy.
So I love　Gone with the Wind, Romeo and Juliet, Elizabeth, Moulin Louge ,Bridget Jones’s Diary, and Girl with peal earrings and so on.
Today I do not mention about my favorite movies that I told now. I sometimes decide what movies to watch concerning the weather. Nowadays, sunny days continue, blue sky, clear sunny, and natural green grass, innocent water are good items for me to feel sunny.
I think movies to enjoy rainy days, movies to enjoy snowy days, movies for cold day, movies for dry day, movies for cloudy days.

Movies for sunny days
Above all, sunny days in the beginning of summer gives me more special meaning to me. I love it very much and I fell something good will happen without reasons. In the sunny days I want to see movie of teen-age love story, movies about friendship, movies concerning about water, sea river, lake, and so on. So I love that kind of movies, and I want to write this time.
That kinds of movies are not always received good reputation, not art, not awarded academy.
I hesitate to say I want to see them, because they are for kids, teen-agers, not for adults and university students like me, and they are not academic, difficult films. But I think they are best to enjoy the weather, they match sunny day very much. I love them.
Let me explain details of the movies, stories, and so on.

Catch a Wave
2006, Japanese movie
You can see the movie in the theatre now, because it starts to release on April.
I cannot say it is a good movie, I cannot say it deserves to pay 1800 yen, not watching the movie yet, but I want to.
The story is about a high-school boy who visits Shoran area (my home town!!), begin to practice surfing on the sea, meet a cute girl, love her, and friendship. Japanese idles played in the movie.
I think it is a kind of boy meets girl movie, but I expect the movie to give me the atmosphere and view of SHONAN area, clear blue sea and sky, the shining sun, coming waves in the sea.
I want to feel summer through the movie. And the songs played in the movie is very good, the songs express the atmosphere. Def tech that are very famous and popular musician, sing its song called Catch a wave, same title as the movie. That they are from HAWAII is one of the reason to feel sunny, I thought. I want to see it as soon as possible.

Water Boys
2001, Japanese movie
I think it is a PERFECT movie to enjoy sunny days in summer.
The casts are excellent, Satoshi Tsumabuki are now a super star of every girl in Japan, and Naoto Takenaka is very funny in the movie, too.
The story is so unique, funny, exciting and cool.
It is about the boys in the swimming team in high school start synchronized swimming (it is usually for women), they practice hard and hard, they complete it.
Off course, that they practiced the synchronized swimming in the poor is good point, but the unity and friendship of the boys is very attractive, give fine weather to my hearts.
The movie had a great influence to boys in swimming teams in Japan so that the boys try to start synchronized swimming. That of my school is one of them, and I saw them in my school festival twice. It is so attractive and amazing and wonderful.
The boys in my school swimming team practiced hard it until their skin turned brown, and at last they played on Fuji TV!!!!! I think it is great and, I wondered if I could be a boy, I wanted to be a member of water boys.

2006 American movie
This is a very cute movie, because the story is about cheerleading teams in America.
Girls- practice- hard story!!! CUTE, CUTE, CUTE, CUTE, LOVELY, LOVERY, LOVERY, LOVERY. The friendship among teen-agers match the weather of sunny, because I think both share the word of fine and clear, and hot. In Japanese movie, swing girls is also good girls movie.

I talked about the movie this time, but I will write about the movie many times because
I LOVE MOVIES, this is one of the reason I major English literature.

clubs in high school days

Hello, how are you? Me? Oh, I am fine. I am getting used to this university little by little. First, I was really nervous to met new life, (new friends, new class, new town, and new school system. Everything was now to me) Now I think it is OK, I am all right. The things trouble me are a lot of homework. I will do my best and I will do my best…
Now I am watching TV drama, it is so fanny. It is a story about a girl who is not cute loves a nice guy. I always watch it on Tuesday.

By the way, this time, I would like to write about my high school days. I was in a public coeducational school. Its school has many traditional events through the four seasons. And many attractive club activities, so first I will begin with my club activities in high school. I belonged to Tea ceremony club. The manner of my tea ceremony was Souhen manner. It is less famous than Omotesenke oｒUrasenke,but it is very popular among Kamakura areas. It came from YAMADA SOUHEN. He was a well-known master of tea ceremony in Edo period. In the club I learned what the tea ceremony is, how to make powdered green tea, and Japanese sweets, how to serve the guest, and how to eat and drink it as a guest. There are a lot of detailed manner, it was so hard work for me to input. All of them, and I think I could remember only some parts of them. We used Hinamatsuri cups in March, and we used cherry blossom cups in April and Christmas in Christmas. The print of the cup depends on the event or festival. It is so important to have a wabi sabi mind, and A ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE. Our older teacher often said
“The words of once in a life time is very very important, and be polite.”
She was older than us by fifty years, but she always sat with a straight back.
Folding my legs under myself in long time is so hard. My legs were shivered every time I went to the club. Eating Japanese sweets was what I looked forward to. Sweets also depend on the season. They are very delicious, and I love anko dama. My friends love them too, and we spent very meaningful time.

I also belonged to English club. In the club, we seldom speak in English, because we could not. We just talking in Japanese having a lunch, and when our ALT teacher who was from Ireland, we learned about the country, St.Patrick’s day and so on. Ireland is one of the country I want to go. He and I loves same musician, radiohead, so we sometimes talked to the topic then, but he came once a week, because our school is a public school and my school has not money to employ ALT teacher twice a week. So I am very glad to enter this university, I have so many chance to blush up my English skills.
Trying to speak to others in English needs much power to me, because Ｉdid not have chance to speak it ever, so I want to try to use this chance, I am going to try hard.

Only in the summer season, I help to cheer our baseball team by playing the Flute.
Other people played the trumpet, drams and so on. The songs depends on their tastes of the member in the baseball club, when I joined it, I played some march songs, anime songs and of course my school’s song. Not only playing the flute but also cheering the team up through my voice and watching the game are my favorite time. For he base ball team, nothing is so important as the summer games. And girl’s cheer readings were cute and that of boys were very energetic.
In this blog ,I wanted to write about traditonal events in my high school, but I need to finish this blog now, so about the topic I am going to write in the next time . Please looking forward to it.I am going to write the new comments in this blog soon.

My first blog and about my spring vacation

Hello ! Welcome to my blog, "harublog" I`m Haruka.My handle name is paccho.I am writing this blog after supper.I`m not good at computer and this is my first time to create my own blog.I`m a little nervours because I `m not sure I write this well.TRY AND ERROR is the best word to express my efforts to create my comment of this blog, because I spent　many many hours to write this message,and I do not know how many times I rewrite it. Thanks to my lack of personal computer knowledge and my speed of typing!!!In this class ,not only I want to learn English writing skills and also I want to catch up with the I T revolution.I would like to be the master of the blog assignment in the last of this semester.
By the way ,In this week`s blog ,I write about my spring vacation ,that is, after I Passed entrance examinations and I graduyated from my high School,before I entered this University. After my high school`s graduation ceremony, I had many days and many times before the University, So I went to many places with my friends in my high School . Before tne entrance examinations ,I stadied hard ,hard,hard,hard, from morning to night, so I planned to spend the spring vacation not studing but making more memories with friends ,who were always with me in the high school,but are going to different universities and will go different ways.

First , I and one of my friends went to Akihabara . It is famous for electric items and OTAKU Culture. OTAKU means people who have a mania, especially in Akihabara, for comics or animations .We are not OTAKU, but we are curious about OTAKU Culture ,so we decided to go there .
There were many toy stores there .In the stores, a lot of dolls were displayed on the small shelves.In a small space, a large number of small dolls!!! Each doll was printed cute or cool faces.I was very very suprised at the view. And then We played GACHAPON.GACHAPON is a vending machine to buy small dolls,but we can't choose dolls. Which doll you will get depends on your luck ,so it's funny and pooular among kids.I rememberd my childhood with its machine. After that, we challenged to go to MAIDO CAFFE.It is one of OTAKU culture,and OF COURSE, this is first time to visit there. A cute waitress served us very politely, and I ate good icecreem.
Many people and I also think the culture is something strenge ,but it is funny and I enjoyed Akihabara very much.You can't go there without smile.I felt I understood its culture a little bit. Akihabara is becoming more and more hot place because of the movie DENSHA OTOKO .It is true you can see people like the main chalacter in the movies in Akihabara!

Second, I went to many hot springs place, which were Ito in Shizuoka, Yugawara in Kanagawa , Lake kawaguchi in Yamanashi.In Ito. Five my friends and I enjoyed varieties of spa and went to Teddy Bear Museum. Many teddy bears were showed and some of them were very old and tradittional.I learned that Teddy Bear came from Theodore Roosevelt.We talked a lot until midnight in the futon.
In Yugawara, I saw the blossoms of the Japanese apricots, UME.Its beauty made my heart feel that spring was comming soon.Ume was loved by Ancient japanese pepole.
I went Lake kawaguchi as a trip of my class. More than twenty people joined it. We went around the lake by ship .And also went a park, where we rode on a amazing roller coaster, and entered terrible ghost hause. It was wonderful. we enjoyed the trip to be exhausted.

I went many places in the vacation. Next vacation, I want to visit my friend in Kyoto. She lives near Kinkakuji Temple.I love trips.My dream is to go to Egypt to see pyramid, India to seeTaj Mahal ,Scotland to wear a tartan skart in mylife.
I will try hard this homework, and next time I want to write about my high school days and classes I joined this semester in the universities .I am happy if you read this blog with some interests.
